Materials & Craft

What materials do you use? +

Every Nefera piece is made from Sterling Silver (925) or Pure Copper — or a combination of both. We do not use gold-plated or gold-filled metals. Sterling Silver has 92.5% silver content. Pure Copper is uncoated and will develop a natural patina over time. Both materials are nickel-free.

What techniques do you use? +

Our artisans use Hand-Piercing (intricate cutouts sawed by hand through solid metal), Cold-Forging (shaping metal with hammers without heat — visible texture proves the human hand), and Hand-Soldering (joining metal components under precise heat). Each piece passes through at least one of these processes. Most pass through all three.

How long does each piece take to make? +

Most pieces take 40 or more hours from raw metal to finished jewelry. Hand-Piercing alone can take 20+ hours on a single piece. We do not use machines or casting for our core collection — every cut, every hammer strike, every solder joint is done by hand.

Are your pieces nickel-free? +

Yes. Sterling Silver and Pure Copper are both naturally nickel-free. If you have known metal sensitivities, email us before purchasing and we can advise based on your specific situation.

Will Copper turn my skin green? +

Copper can cause a temporary green tint on skin — this is a harmless natural reaction between copper and your skin chemistry. It washes off easily. Our Cold-Forged Copper pieces have a protective finish that minimizes this. If skin sensitivity is a concern, we recommend our Sterling Silver pieces.

Orders & Shipping

Are your pieces made to order? +

Yes. Every Nefera piece is made to order by hand in our Cairo workshop. This means your piece is made specifically for you after you place your order — not taken from a pre-made shelf. This is why the quality is consistent and the wait is worth it.

How long does shipping take? +

Production takes 2–4 weeks from the date your order is confirmed. Once your piece ships from the US warehouse, domestic delivery takes 3–5 business days. International shipping times vary by destination. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.

Do you ship internationally? +

Yes. We ship worldwide from our US warehouse. International orders may be subject to customs fees and import duties depending on your country — these are the responsibility of the buyer. Email us before ordering if you have questions about delivery to your country.

Can I change or cancel my order? +

Because pieces are made to order, changes and cancellations can only be made within 24 hours of placing your order. After production begins, we cannot cancel. Email hello@neferaluxury.com immediately if you need to make a change.

Returns & Sizing

What is your return policy? +

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for items in original, unworn condition. Because pieces are handmade to order, we ask that you review our size guide carefully before purchasing. Personalized or custom pieces are final sale. See our Returns page for the full process.

How do I find my ring size? +

Visit our Size Guide page for a full measurement guide. We recommend measuring at the end of the day when fingers are slightly larger, and measuring twice. If you are between sizes, size up for comfort.

Do you offer custom orders? +

We take a limited number of custom commissions each month. This includes size variations, metal combinations, and surface finish preferences. Custom pieces are quoted individually and require a 50% deposit. Email hello@neferaluxury.com with your idea to begin a conversation.
